Naskh and Nastaliq Scripts

Naskh and Nastaliq script are typed the same way. Arabic, Hindustani, Persian (Farsi), Punjabi, Pushtu and Urdu language in Naskh use a common key layout on a standard keyboard.  Word processing in these languages uses a common Romanized representation of sounds, as shown on the key guide for this family. Punjabi is mostly written in Gurumukhi script, but it can also be written in Naskh and Nastaliq.  See separate details on Romanized typing. It isn't hard to guess what you get by typing "teraa naam kyaa hee?" in Urdu!
